Peculiarities in the Metonic Cycle involving the Martyred Presidents
There are only two presidents who had closely paired solar eclipses which landed on both their birth and death days throughout their lives.
They were Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
There are many well-documented synchronicities between the lives and deaths of the two Presidents. Those interesting peculiarities are not the subject of this study, but rather I present what I believe to be the first close look at solar eclipse patterns surrounding their lives and deaths.
Bear in mind that these eclipse patterns may not be what we expect. They have an artistic, almost musical quality to their historical and geographic expressions. Nevertheless I only present facts here. I believe sensitive consideration will reveal elements of truth much as one might receive by listening carefully to a piece of music.
This is not a subject that can be "summed up", and it carries great challenges even to describe. The "science" of the peculiarity of the situation is presented towards the end of this page.
I present this research with the deepest respect for the memories of these two great Americans. I have come to believe that their examples of sacrifice and their contributions to human freedom and dignity were forever foretold, marked, and preserved in the Cosmic Timekeeping of God.
Brief SUMMARY of Metonic Cycle before we go on

It's not hard though. Here is the summary you need to understand this section.
The Metonic Cycle is named after Meton of Athens ( 5th century B.C.) who described it. It is used in lunar/solar calendars like Greek and Hebrew. It also determines feast days such as Easter. It is based on an extraordinary reality of cosmic calendar alignment. It is quite real and beyond dispute. I use the term Metonic to describe any repetitious date involving eclipses and calendar time.
here's how it works:
The solar year is 365.25 days. ( 1 earth revolution around sun)
The lunar year is 354.3 days. ( 12 full lunar cycles around earth)
The draconic ( eclipse) year is 346.6 days. ( return of earth, moon and sun to same ecliptic plane)
Every 19 years (about 6940 days) these orbits align, meaning the same phase of the moon will occur on the same day of the solar calendar ( if it's a new moon on March 20, 2015, it will be a new moon on March 20, 2034).
19 solar years is exactly 235 lunar months within a couple of hours.
19 solar years is also exactly 255 eclipse (draconic) months within a few hours.
So periodically, the eclipse calendar also aligns. . This also allows for solar and lunar eclipses to repeat for a time on or very near the same day of the year in regular 19 year patterns. There are usually three 19 year periods (57 years total), followed by an eight year period, then three 19 year periods etc... Sometimes they can repeat essentially on the same day ( with slight variations) for a century. More often it is for decades. Sometimes a date can be skipped. A few eclipses show up outside this pattern.
Here is the general pattern using the Lincoln dates in this section and actual solar eclipses:

Eclipse on April 15th, 1847 ( date occurs one day ahead due to time zones)

This progression continues. Occasionally it lurches backwards one day. Nevertheless, eventually it progresses through the calendar. Over the course of the next century that same April 14th 1809 Metonic reaches April 20th, 2023. It has moved 6 days in two hundred years, while another Metonic closes in towards the 14th from behind--in this case April 8, 2024, which will reach the April 14th Metonic again around the year 2200.
Other dates are also moving. About 36 points in time ( about 3 per month) landing and resetting over the course of centuries. It appears to be a kind of cosmic timekeeping. It draws attention to certain dates with repeated cosmic alignments.
These dates can vary within one ( and occasionally two) days based on time zones, orbits and date lines. Sometimes a particular date will reappear 100 years after it first came on the scene. But always they will eventually move on, coming back around in cycles of 300 to 600 years, depending on a variety of natural astronomical and calendar realities.
That is how the Metonic Cycle marches through history. You will see it at work in this segment. It is hard to overstate how bizarre it is that the Metonic cycle exists. There is no scientific reason why three completely unrelated repetitive cosmic phenomenon should align in such a way. It points towards a science of meaning, but that has been a long time coming.
It's ok if you don't fully understand this. Who does? Examples are best.

A ring of fire eclipse over America two months after Lincoln's birth on the the exact day he would be shot 56 years later. Abraham Lincoln was born on Feb.12 1809, the same day as Charles Darwin. Two months later, this Ring of Fire eclipse crossed North America, The southern boundary of eclipse appears to go through Kentucky, Illinois and just above Washington DC in a rough approximation of the Mason-Dixon line.
April 14/15 is the day of Lincoln's Assassination 56 years later, proclaimed in a North American eclipse 61 days after his birth.

This eclipse was instrumental in a slave uprising led by Nat Turner. He witnessed this eclipse and took it as a sign from God to begin an insurrection against slave holders. To have your death day appear as Metonic eclipse in the same year you are born is a lofty chance indeed, especially if you are one of the most important personalities in the history of the modern world. I explore the statistical odds further down in this page.
Eclipses are even more unlikely to continue repeating in profound patterns throughout your life until the year after your death. But that's indeed what happens with Honest Abe.
There are no "odds". It just is what it is. Clearly his life was marked in advance by cosmic patterns set in place by an Omniscient Creator God, likely one with a thirst for justice and decency.

From Abraham Lincoln Historical Society/ Lincoln Home Historic Site: In 1831, Abraham Lincoln was a young man of 22 when he and a couple of companions floated down the Sangamon River in a flatboat on their way to New Orleans. In mid-April, he neared New Salem, Illinois,
The people of New Salem first noticed Lincoln shortly after he arrived, when his flatboat became stranded on the nearby milldam. A crowd gathered to watch the group of men work to free the boat--included among them was a lanky fellow who had taken charge. Under his direction, the other crew members unloaded the cargo from the stern causing the flatboat to right itself. The tall young man then went ashore and borrowed an auger from Onstot's cooper shop, drilled a hole in the bow allowing the water to drain out, which caused the flatboat to ease over the dam.
Denton Offutt, who had hired Lincoln to man the flatboat, was impressed with Lincoln's handling of the incident, and awarded him with the offer of a clerk position in his store. However, when Lincoln returned from New Orleans, the store was not yet open, so Lincoln took a variety of other jobs, including helping to pilot a steamboat down the Sangamon River to Beardstown on the Illinois River.
This was where Lincoln lived when he did his service in the military during the Indian wars, Lincoln saw no service, but did help bury five colleagues who had been scalped near Kellogg. Lincoln became postmaster and was much beloved. On April 15, 1837 ( on the metonic exact midpoint between 1809 eclipse and death in 1865), on a borrowed horse, with everything he owned in two saddlebags, Lincoln moved to Springfield, the place he would call home for the next 24 years of his life.

Yes-- it's April 15th now, but its still the same metonic. When this eclipse begins in the sunrise over the Indian Ocean 1847 it is still April 14th in much of America. Lincoln was shot on the 14th and declared dead 9 hours later on the 15th. So both days should be considered as his death metonic. He was essentially brain dead immediately after the shooting at 10 pm on the 14th, but breathes his last at 7:22am on the 15th.,
Abe Lincoln is now 38 years old and in the US Congress. In December of that year, he famously introduces legislation demanding to know the "spot" where hostilities with Mexico originated and thus the excuse for the infamous Mexican War, which Lincoln opposed as an imperial land grab.

Feb.12th will not be the date of an eclipse again until the year 2203.

Charles Darwin was born on the exact same day as Abraham Lincoln, Feb 12, 1809. It is surely one of the great oddities of history that two of the most famous and influential people of modern times were linked in such a way. Their fame and influence and deeds were wildly different , of course.
Darwin's death day was April 19th, 1882. It begins to appear in the 20th century Metonic ( in 1939 it is associated with the Hitler Birthday Eclipse of 4-19-1939 months before WW2 and hours before Hitler's birthday on 4-20)

Three of the four most important murders in American History are inscribed in the Metonic of Eclipses around Lincoln's Birth . In the above chart you will find the already mentioned April 14, 1809 Eclipse inscribing his assassination into the year of Lincoln's Birth, and his birthday eclipse on Feb.12, 1812 (his 3rd Birthday)...But look at the marked eclipses just before and after the Lincoln eclipses. Less than two years before, the June 6th date of Robert Kennedy's Assassination appears-- 161 years before it happens in 1968.
One lunar year exactly after the April 14th Lincoln Eclipse, The eclipse of April 4th 1810 is 158 years before the killing of Martin Luther King. These dates follow each other around in perpetuity throughout all cosmic time. That is how the Metonic cycle works.
you will also see on this chart the Oct.19th Metonic (here in 1808), which is on the anniversary of the victory of American forces over the British at Yorktown in 1781 ...this returns in the Oct 19, 1865 cross-country eclipse in the USA 188 days after Lincoln's murder. Notice the May 25th and Nov 18 eclipses on either side of the Oct.19th Yorktown Anniversary. These will become the Kennedy side by side eclipse Metonic in 92 years.

Lincoln's April 14/15 death is also the date the Titanic hits an iceberg and sinks 57 years later ( 57 years is exactly 3 Metonic cycles of 19 years each--Lincoln himself was 56 when he died).
Like Lincoln, the Titanic is hit on the 14th and sinks on the 15th. Amazingly, its sinking is marked by an extraordinary eclipse 3 days after its demise

I include here eclipses which border by one day the exact Metonic here. i also include some which precede, and some which follow their death. There are reasons to do this, based on orbital, historical , thematic and leap year reality.
The Metonic doesn't care about time zones and leap years but instead marks actual cosmic rhythms which are defined by rotational patterns in the earth, sun and moon. Once two days separate any date one can assume that the Metonic has moved on.

Only John F. Kennedy has a matching eclipse paired Metonic side by side with his birth and death days. The Kennedy Century is a most striking reality..as the Abraham Lincoln Century was as well.

The Lincoln Eclipses were amazing because the birth and death day metonics are so close. But absolutely nothing compares to the Kennedy Metonic, where the birth and death eclipses sit side byy side, exactly one eclipse season apart ( 177 days). The very first eclipses of the 20th Century are on the Kennedy Metonic--May 28 1900 ( one day before birthday)and Nov 22 1900 (exact death day)... The Kennedy birthdates and death dates appear side by side in the year of his second birthday in 1919. These dates are 177 days apart, a perfect eclipse season span, and therefore recur essentaially in perpetuity. They will reappear in 1938 on JFK's 21st birthday, again as the first eclipses after his assasination ( 1965) and finally as a strange testament to reality in 1984.
In the first eclipse of the 20th century, we see the kennedy Birth day, followed by the Kennedy Death Day, followed by the Mount Saint Helens Metonic of May 18 and Armistice Day of Nov.11th right in a row.

Kennedy ( perhaps alongside Martin Luther King and Bob Dylan) was one of the Maximum Expressions of that American Personality in the 20th century. In turn, the American Personality was The maximum expression of personality in the global eye.
John F. Kennedy's birthday and death day have an unusual place in the Metonic Cycle. They reside side by side during his lifetime..

John F. Kennedy was born May 29th 1917 and was murdered on Nov.22nd, 1963; the latter date being arguably the most pivotal date in the post-civil war history of the United States, and possibly the modern world.
His birthday and death day are forever enshrined side by side in the cycle of eclipses 177 days apart ( one eclipse season).
As an interesting note, since Kennedy was both born and killed on a Metonic, it turns out he was exactly 49 eclipse ( Draconic) years old when he was murdered.

Because of the realities of rotation and international time zones, leap years and date lines, anniversaries are flexible within one day in the metonic reality. there is no other logical way to do it.
The first eclipses of the 20th century were on the JFK Metonic: May 28-1900 ( which went across eastern USA) and Nov.22nd 1900, back to back.
In 1919 ( when he turned 2) perfect metonic alignment May 29 and Nov.22nd eclipses, back to back.

In 1946, as Saros collapses, the days stretch on two partial back to back eclipses still on the Metonic 5-30-1946 and 11-23-1946

This pattern then essentially moves on as it collapses with a May 31st 2003 eclipse.

Also Aldous Huxley, author of Brave New World and the Doors of perception also died on Nov 22nd 1963...
Huxley once wrote in a letter to his friend George Orwell these words:
"Within the next generation I believe that the world's leaders will discover that infant conditioning and narcohypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience "
Thus we find three of the greatest examples of 20th Century Maximum expression in personality, Kennedy, CS Lewis and Aldous Huxley all dying on the same day, a day framed in ecliptic perpetuity with the birth of JFK.

The first solar eclipse of the 20th Century is incredible. It is a Total Eclipse connecting many empires, past, present and future on the JFK birthday Metonic ( he would be born 17 years later on May 29, 1917).
Beginning in the Pacific at sunrise, the eclipse crosses mexico and hugs the US gulf Coast after exiting south of Corpus Christ (98% totality). It brings totality in a thin line to New Orleans, Montgomery, Mobile and Raleigh--exiting at Virginia Beach. 98% totality in Washington DC. 92 % in New York City, 90% in JFK birthplace of Brookline, Mass.
The eclipse crosses the Atlantic to bisect Portugal and Spain, the first colonizers of the New World--entering at famous city of Porto, where the Romans had established major trading operations in the centuries before Christ. Eclipse bisects Spain almost exactly 402 years after Columbus left on his third voyage to the Americas in 1498, and 400 years after Columbus was sent in chains back to Spain for trial in 1500.
The eclipse crosses the Mediterranean and the path of totality directly crosses Algiers, Algeria, and Tripoli Libya before ending a few miles south the Valley of the Kings in Luxor Egypt, which will be revisited by two Judgment eclipses in 2027 and 2034 ---134 and 141 eclipse years respectively... The second eclipse of the 20th century occurs 63 years to the day before the Murder of John Kennedy.
It begins just east of Angola and crosses one of the most infamous slave sources in Africa, Benguela. The eclipse then travels acroos the southern part of the continent, exiting through Mozambique and extreme southern tip of Madagascar. the eclipse path turns north and passes through much of northwest Australia before dying out.

In the Final months of World War One, as American forces were fighting to a stalemate in the Battle of Belleau Wood, and the Spanish Flu had begun to rage across the country, a total solar eclipse marks the beginning of the American century, which would come to an end 99 years later with a mirrored eclipse on August 21 2017. Eclipse Synchronicity in the Lives of Presidents and Others---A Brief Study
What is the Metonic? It is simply eclipse dates that repeat for awhile and then slowly change over time. There are usually about three possible dates per month during any given century.
How common is Metonic ( repetitive eclipse day appearance) presence in a person’s lifetime?
In other words, how likely is an eclipse to show up ( anywhere on planet earth, not just where the person happens to be) with a person’s birthday or death day during their lifetime?
Example: If I am born on March 2 1908 and die on July 14 1975, did any solar eclipse ever appear on either of those days anywhere on earth while I was alive? in this case, the answer is no. The Metonic in March is lingering around the 8th, the 18th and the 29th during the 20th Century. The Metonic in July is around the 9th, 20th and the 31st
I will not have a solar eclipse on my birthday in my lifetime--the next time my birthday appears in the eclipse metonic is more than a century away.. Nor has anyone in my immediate family had an eclipse occur on their birthday during their lifetime. The odds appear to be about one in six for an eclipse on your birthday or your death day at anytime during an 80 year lifetime. The chance of having an eclipse appear on both one's birthday and deathday during a lifetime at all appears to be about one in 20. It is within that framework that we can begin to look at patterns that are far more peculiar
It turns out that such birthday/deathday eclipses are peculiarly abundant ( and extremely peculiar) in the lives and times of our most famous American Presidential Martyrs, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. These eclipse patterns seem to bear a unique witness, worthy of consideration, that compliments the already chronicled extraordinary synchronicities in the lives and deaths of the two presidents. My premise with this website is to assert the existence of an active God by a consideration of peculiarities in the natural phenomenon of eclipses. I attempt to show that the eclipse phenomenon is a type of cosmic timekeeping, almost musical or poetic in nature. I use preponderances of peculiarities as proof, and as evidence. Now, to establish the truth of peculiarity in the case of Lincoln and Kennedy eclipses.
1) Solar Eclipses dates repeat over the course of a century--occasionally varying by one or two days in certain lurches--. ---For instance, the Kennedy Death day Metonic started the 20th Century with Nov.22nd 1900/following eclipses occurred on Nov. 22nd 1919/ Nov 21 1938/ Nov 23 1946/ Nov 23 1965 (annular)/ Nov 22 1984--Total).
Notice they mostly happen every 19 years on basically the same date with an 8 year lurch from 1938 to 1946. You can see the one day variations in both directions...By 2030 the Metonic has stretched to November 25th, out of the realm of consideration, and it will be impossible to go back to Nov.22nd for centuries.
2) The difference in dates is sometimes due to orbital reality, where on earth the eclipse is as it relates to time zones and sometimes due to leap years. Also there is a lurch that happens every 65 years that often pushes the Metonic .
As you begin to appreciate the subtle certainties of the metonic progression, you realize that these are indeed specific moments in time being cyclically marked.
For instance, August 21st 1914--a total solar eclipse across the battlefields of Europe at the outset of the First World War.
19 years later, August 21st 1933--A ring of Fire eclipse across Jerusalem as the Nazis rose to power in Germany.
86 years later, August 21st, 2017 --cross country eclipse of the USA, dividing the nation in half 7 months into the beginning of the Trump presidency.
These dates slowly progress over the decades and centuries. August 21st becomes Aug 24th by the mid-21st century and after 300 to 500 years or so returns again to August 21st. There are approximately 3 dates per month in any given century where an eclipse might happen. For instance , we just had a Dec 4th 2021 eclipse, this was preceded by an eclipse on Dec 14, 2020, and a December 26th eclipse in 2019. They average 11 days apart.
Cycles of time expressed in eclipse. It is not science as we know it. It is closer to song or art.
It may be a little difficult to grasp at first, but it is certainly not nearly as hard as algebra or small engine repair. These are simply dates that repeat for awhile and then slowly change over time.
I looked at the lives of all 40 Deceased Presidents of the USA, and checked to see if there was a solar eclipse during their lifetime on either their birthday or deathday.
I also checked the birthdays of the 6 living Presidents to see if there was ( or was possible to be) an eclipse on their birthday during their lifetime.
Then: I also looked at 39 randomly selected deceased celebrities and public personalities
( picked literally off the top of my head) to see about the presence of birthday or deathday eclipses in their lives.
Here are the results.
Of the 39 Deceased Presidents of the United States,
28 had no birthday or deathday solar eclipses of any kind during their lifetime.
7 had one solar eclipse ( including partials)during their lifetime on either their birthday or deathday.
4 had solar eclipses on both birthday and death days during their lifetime.
Of the six living presidents, only one has a birthday within the eclipse Metonic—Jimmy Carter with October 1st.

7 had one solar eclipse (including partials) during their lifetime on either their birthday or deathday. Herbert Hoover had one partial and one complete.
4 had complete solar eclipses on both birthday and death days during their lifetime.
Of the six living presidents, only one has a birthday within the eclipse Metonic—Jimmy Carter with October 1st.
71% of deceased presidents had no eclipses with their birth/death day during their lifetime.
18% had one.
10% had two—Jefferson, WH Harrison, Lincoln and Kennedy.
Continuing Synchronicity Eclipse Experiment
Now let’s continue this experiment. I chose a list of 39 random dead celebrities/public figures from the past. I chose them off the top of my head without first looking at their birth/death days for best scientific effect.
What would the percentages be of ecliptic presence in their lives?
39 Total Public figures.
22 had no eclipses ( 56%)
15 with 1 eclipse (38%)
And 2 with two eclipses (5%)
A smaller percentage had no eclipses ( 71% to 56%) in the celebrity group than presidential .
The celebrity group had more than twice as many with one eclipse ( 38% to 18%)
They had half the number with 2 eclipses. (5%)
As you will see, the two with two eclipses were Huey “The Kingfish” Long and Ray Charles…Long was a populist American politician who was assassinated on September 10, 1935. Ray Charles, of course, was one of the greatest entertainers in the history of popular music.

Metonic Cycle--It's Amazing Numerical Time/ Space Reality
The actual definition of Metonic Cycle.
The Metonic Cycle is a period of almost exactly 19 years after which the phases of the moon recur at the same time of the solar year. 235 lunar months is just 1 hour, 27 minutes and 33 seconds longer than 19 tropical years. Meton of Athens in the 5th Cnetury B.C. determined the cycle to be a whole number of days, 6,940. Using these whole numbers facilitates the construction of a luni- solar Calendar. The Chinese based their calendars on this, the Bahai use it, and it has implications in all major religious calendars.
So that means every 19 years...
Every nineteen years will find us at the exact phase of the moon. Meaning if there was a new moon on Dec 4 2002, there will almost certainly be one on Dec 4 2021, as happened. eventually this shists to another date, after 219 years.
That's pretty amazing, if you think about it
The revolution of the earth around the sun and the revolution of the moon around the earth have no particular scientific reason to bear any relation whatsoever to each other...yet they do, creating a nearly perfect match every 19 years...every 6,940 days.
But that's not All---
As astonishing as it is to find a point of synchronicity between the lunar and the solar calendars...the draconic reality pushes the envelope of all coincidence to beyond impossibility.
At that same 19 year point where the lunar and solar calendars intersect., we find the intersection of 255 Draconic months... 255 draconic months (lunar nodes) = 6,939.1161 days.20.021 eclipse years (40 eclipse seasons)
Let's look at that again...all 3 different forms of cosmic timekeeping
Solar Year= 365.24 days. 365.24 x 19 = 6,939.6 days (every 19 years)
Synodic ( Lunar)= 29.53 days.29.53058868 x 235 = 6,939.68days (every 235 months)
That's a difference of only hours, every 19 years!!!
The difference between 19 solar years and 235 lunar months is only about two hours, or 0.086 days per cycle, resulting in a full day of delay every 219 years (12.4 parts per million), roughly twelve cycles.
Now the Draconic ( Eclipse) calendar results from the alignment of the moon in a lunar node about every 346 days, a reality that is completely independent of the solar and lunar cycles.

That's less than half a day difference every 19 years with the lunar and solar calendars!!!

So that means you often see Eclipses show up on the same dates for around a century
Sometimes the eclipses show up every 19 years for 3 times in a row on the same date. Sometimes certain dates roll in and out of eclipses for more than a century before fading and moving on.
This is an extraordinary arrangement and absolute proof of a designer God who also intends our educational growth.
Not only is the sun the same size as the moon in the sky, but three different calendars all line up to allow for perfection in human observation of time and eclipses.
To assert these manifestations are coincidence after any genuine open-minded consideration might seem to suggest either aggressive ingratitude or blind religious obedience to a false faith.
So what does the Metonic cycle look like?

During any given century, there are only about 36 given dates for eclipses. These dates are not rock solid, they slide a bit due to international date lines, and astronomical realities.
So we could have, for instance, a Dec 24th date which becomes Dec. 25 for a couple of eclipses, and then reverses course to become Dec. 24th one more time, before leaping ahead to Dec. 26th...at some point it must keep moving to the 27th, 28th and so on...sometimes it will skip a date, but rarely.

the Metoni dates are separated by between 10 and twelve days ( because the actual Saros distance is eleven days 8 hours).. so for instance December solar eclipses are now occurring on or beside Dec 4th, Dec. 14 and Dec. 26th---this happened the last three years...as we experienced solar eclipses on Dec.26th 2019, Dec. 14 2020, and Dec 4th 2021...three December eclipses in a row, each exactly one lunar year apart---354 days..
In the same vein August eclipses are currently occurring around the 2nd, 12th and 21st
latest examples Aug. 21st 2017, August 12 2026 and August 2nd 2027...this same kind of spacing is found through all the months.
The dates gradually move on..for instance

The year of Abe Lincoln's birth saw an eclipse on April 14th ( which would be the day of his death 56 years later)...19 years later, there is an April 14 ,1828 eclipse over the Mideast. By the year after his assassination, the metonic date had moved only gradually and there is a partial eclipse on April 15th 1866 visible from North America. By the time of the Titanic, that Metonic had shifted to April 17th, 1912, and then reached to April 19th in the late 20th Century. The next manifestation of that same sliding metonic occurs with the 4-20-2023 eclipse near Australia.
Thus it's possible for a date to shift 6 days over the course of 220 years. This is a constant cycle of flowing and repeating dates..

19 years later, August 21st 1933 saw the great Jerusalem Ring of Fire. ( Saros 124)
19 years later, The metonic retreated for the August 20th 1952 Ring of Fire ( Saros 134)
19 years after that the Aug 20, 1971 partial. (Saros 144)
Notice how the Saros are exactly 10 cycles apart.
Then the 19 year mark collapses in Aug 20, 1971 ( Saros 154) , but the general metonic reality remains and shifts to compensate for new Saros eclipses and a new 19 year ( and alternating 10 saros )spacing!!!

19 years after that is a partial on 8-21-2036 ( Saros 155) and then the Metonic rapidly collapses so that by 2063, the eclipse date is August 24 ( Saros 136)
